Another Mod For Horse Coats
Here’s a bunch of horse coats you can use to make your game more unique.

DESCRIPTION
So, I made this little mod because I was enjoying creating new coats by myself and I decided “pff why not publishing them to the world? Maybe someone will like them.” So yeah, here they are.
– if you’re new to modding, please read all the next sections carefully.
– if you want to make a request please read the Requests section.
– be sure to carefully read the sticky post for rules and docs for FAQ.
HOW TO USE
First things first, you need to install some things to make these coats work for your game:
– Script Hook: be sure to install the latest version available. After you have installed it, put ScriptHook.dll in your RDR2 directory. If you’re using Steam Launcher, your directory should be somewhere around here = This Pc/Local Disc (C:)/Programs (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Red Dead Redemption 2;
– Lenny’s Mod Loader (LML): now copy everything inside the ModLoader folder and paste it into your RDR2 directory. You should now see the famous “lml” folder we’ll be using later, and also be sure to read the read me file inside the downloaded folder of the mod;
– Asi Loader: just place the file and version.dll into your directory. This will make Online assets and textures work in story mode.
After you’ve done all of this, open the “lml” folder and create a new folder and name it “stream”. You will place all the .ymt (and .ytd) files here.
If everything was done correctly, all the coats should work successfully.
If not, you probably did something wrong, in this case just repeat all the steps carefully;
If you can see some coats but some others are invisible or partially visible, you just forgot to place version.dll in your directory folder.
If everything was done correctly but the coats don’t work:
-Your game may not be updated to the latest version or your Script Hook may be outdated (in this case your game will probably refuse to open)
-If your game is cracked and mods don’t work, I can’t really do anything for you (and honestly shame on you, rdr2 is such a beautiful game, just buy it while it is in discount).
If you have done everything just fine, your game is original and updated and Script Hook is updated aswell but my coats still don’t work, then contact me and I’ll be happy to help you ^^.
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW, AKA “I DON’T KNOW HOW TO NAME THIS SECTION BUT IT’S IMPORTANT”
– These coats ARE NOT new added horses, they replace already existing horses in the game. If you want to replace a horse with another you should change its name in the file.
Let’s say, for example, you downloaded the Arabian Pack and don’t want my Arabian Grey coat to replace the Black Arabian in the game but you want it to replace the White Arabian instead, you just have to change the .ymt file name like this:
a_c_horse_arabian_black.ymt = a_c_horse_arabian_white.ymt
I added a file in Optional files containing every horse name in the form of .ymt files names. This way, you can easily change name of the .ymt file to replace every horse you want. Simply copy and paste the name of the horse you want to be replaced with mine from the text file to the .ymt file.
– I made some of the horses bigger than their original counterparts, if this detail bothers you, please read the ‘HELLO’ text file if you find it in the Pack you have downloaded, Thank you :).
– Every online horse (except Breton) will replace Missouri Fox Trotter Amber Champagne by default.
REQUESTS
I accept requests for coats but you need to know some things:
I prefer not to take complicated custom coats and custom model requests unless tipped. Model editing also takes an enormous amount of time and it’s still not an easy task for me.
If you want me to make a specific horse you like, you may give me:
– An Image of the horse as reference (I’ll do my best to make it as similar as possible) and please also be sure to specify the breed
Or, if you don’t have a reference image, please make an accurate description including:
– Horse’s breed
– Coat colour
– Eye colour
– Mane type and colour
– Tail type and colour
– Markings
– Replaced horse (so you don’t even have to touch the file to change its name)
I kindly ask you to follow this format, if you can, as it would be easier for me to track your request and there will be no need for me to ask for more details.

-If you don’t specify which breed you would like, I will choose it for you (You can still ask me to change it at a later time);
-If you don’t include Type of Mane and Type of Tail and their colors in your description I will choose ‘Natural Mane’, ‘Long Tail’ and plain colors.
-If you don’t specify the eye color you prefer in your description, I will choose Brown Eyes by default.
-If you ask me to put socks on your horse, PLEASE specify which sock I would have to color. Do not say “this horse will have 1 front sock”, instead say “this horse will have 1 front left/right sock”.
REQUESTED HORSES WILL BE UPLOADED IN THE MISCELLANEUS SECTION
REQUESTED HORSES WILL BE ALWAYS UPLOADED HERE. I WON’T MAKE PRIVATE HORSES UNLESS:
-If you’re requesting me to recreate your pet, I will make an exception if asked (keep in mind that I still can reuse/modify the texture as it’s entirely my creation)
KEEP IN MIND THAT, IF NOT TIPPED, I MIGHT DELIVER YOUR REQUEST IN A WEEK, A MONTH OR MORE, BASICALLY WHENEVER I FIND SOME FREE TIME OR WHENEVER I FEEL LIKE; THOUGH, EVENTUALLY, ALL REQUESTS WILL BE DELIVERED.
BUT, IF YOU THINK YOUR REQUEST IS TAKING TOO LONG TO BE DELIVERED, FEEL FREE TO SEND ME A MESSAGE TO LET ME KNOW, MAYBE I FORGOT ABOUT IT LIKE THE IDIOT I AM.
IF YOU WANT TO REQUEST (NON-TIPPED) CUSTOM COATS
CHANGES OF 6/3/23:
I DECIDED, SINCE I WILL NOT HAVE MUCH FREE TIME FROM NOW ON FOR PERSONAL REASONS, I WILL NOT MAKE COMPLICATED CUSTOM COATS FOR FREE ANYMORE. I WILL ONLY PUT SIMPLE MARKINGS LIKE STARS, BLAZES OR SOCKS, AS THAT DOES NOT TAKE THAT MUCH TIME, BUT FORGET ABOUT PINTOS, OVEROS, SABINOS OR ANY OTHER COMPLICATED PATTERN THAT WOULD TAKE MANY HOURS TO RECREATE (SOME MODIFICATIONS OF VANILLA COATS CAN COUNT AS EASY TO MAKE COATS). IF I SEE YOU ASK FOR THIS TYPE OF COAT, I WILL INFORM YOU ABOUT THE CHANGES.
YOU CAN STILL LEAVE THOSE COMPLICATED COATS IN YOUR POST BUT I WILL NOT SEE THEM AS A REQUEST, BUT JUST AS A SUGGESTION FOR FUTURE PACKS.
THIS RULE IS NOT RETROACTIVE SO WHO ASKED FOR A DIFFICULT COAT PRIOR 6/3/23 WILL GET THEIR CUSTOM COAT.
I’M TRULY SORRY FOR THIS CHANGE BUT THIS HAS TO BE DONE AS I’M EXPERIENCING (AND I WILL EXPERIENCE) A LOT OF STRESS IN MY LIFE AND I REALLY CAN’T AFFORD TO PUT HORSE MODDING OVER EVERYTHING ELSE ANYMORE. IT DOESN’T GIVE ME THE SAME JOY IT USED TO GIVE ME AND DOESN’T REPRESENT ENOUGH INCOME FOR ME TO KEEP IT AS MY FIRST HOBBY. HOBBIES SHOULD BE RELAXING; RIGHT NOW, I ONLY FEEL STRESSED WHENEVER I THINK ABOUT MODDING.
I DOUBT I WILL EVER COME BACK TO MAKING (DIFFICULT) CUSTOM COATS FOR FREE.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU TIP THE REQUEST?
– YOUR REQUEST WILL BE PRIORITIZED OVER THE OTHERS AND WILL BE COMPLETED IN A SHORTER AMOUNT OF TIME
– YOU CAN ASK FOR A COMPLICATED CUSTOM COAT
– YOU CAN ASK FOR A CUSTOM MODEL AS WELL
– YOU CAN ASK ME TO CHANGE DETAILS EVEN AFTER I COMPLETED THE COAT
– OTHER COOL ADVANTAGES
TIPPED REQUESTS WILL BE USUALLY DELIVERED IN LESS THAN A WEEK IF SIMPLE, PROBABLY MORE THAN 1 WEEK IF VERY DIFFICULT.
!THESE CHANGES ONLY APPLY AFTER THE DONATION HAS BEEN MADE!
PS: EVEN 1 DOLLAR WOULD BE ENOUGH OF A DONATION FOR YOU TO ASK FOR ALL THESE THINGS. THOUGH, I WOULD LIKE YOU TO CONSIDER THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT GOES INTO THIS AND DECIDE ON A DONATION PROPORTIONAL TO THE TIME THAT WOULD BE SPENT MAKING YOUR HORSE.
THE HIGHER THE DONATION, THE BETTER WILL BE THE QUALITY OF THE FINAL COAT.
