Corrupt Law – Frame and Jail NPCs v1.0
You fake the crime, they do the time. Plant a bounty on any NPC, tie them up, and hand them over to the sheriff while you walk away clean.
Corrupt Law – Frame and Jail NPCs
You can now put almost any NPC you see behind bars! If someone bugs you, frame them, hogtie them, and bring them in dead or alive to a sheriff’s office. No dishonor, no law alerts, just petty revenge. You’ll see the option to frame NPCs when you aim at them.
There are images and a video showing the mod in action. The video is a bit long because I included multiple examples from a longer gameplay session, but you can skip to 1:40 if you only want to see the hand-in part of one of the victims 😀
All the sheriff stations and police departments are available!
– Valentine,
– Strawberry,
– Saint Denis,
– Rhodes,
– Annesburg,
– Blackwater,
– Tumbleweed
Availability depends on story progress and character:
– Valentine is available after the mission “Good, Honest, Snake Oil”.
– Strawberry is available after the mission “Blessed Are the Meek?”.
– Blackwater and Tumbleweed is only available for John.
Limitations
– You can’t frame lawmen.
– You can’t frame Dutch’s gang members.
– Everyone else is fair game.
– If you also want to frame and jail kids, you can use this mod together with Kill Children mod.
Known quirks
– In Valentine, the sheriff must be inside the station before the hand-in. If he’s standing right outside the door, spin the camera 360 before entering, he’ll pop back inside. (Weird, but it works)
– If there is an active bounty poster in the station, you must be far enough before handing in your framed NPC.
– Sometimes the sheriff won’t immediately react to a second hand-in done right away at the same jail. If that happens, just ride away a bit and come back.
Installation
– Install ScriptHookRDR2 and an ASI loader (version.dll or dinput8.dll)
– Drop CorruptLaw.asi next to RDR2.exe
Uninstall
– Remove CorruptLaw.asi from the game folder
