Crime Tweaks v1.0
Legal self defense and antagonize.
Crime Tweaks adjusts several core crime and detection systems to create a more consistent and believable response from law enforcement. Version 1.0 focuses on early foundational changes while leaving room for expansion based on playtesting and feedback.
Main changes in this release:
• Legal self defense
When an NPC attacks you first, defending yourself is no longer treated as a crime. You won’t instantly trigger a wanted level for fending off an aggressor.
• Antagonizing/insulting is now conditional
Verbal harassment becomes a crime only when a lawman sees it, or when you insult a lawman directly. This keeps the game world reactive without punishing flavor interactions done out of sight.
• Train robbery detection adjusted
Robbing a train now takes a little longer to be recognized as a crime, giving you a more realistic time window before law is alerted.
This is version 1.0 and changes are intentionally focused and conservative while testing balance and behavior. More features are planned as the mod evolves.

Extract the zip file using winrar or 7zip and then place “Crime Tweaks” into lml folder
