RDR2 Fast Travel

RDR2 Fast Travel

The fast travel Red Dead Redemption 2 has is a very important and appreciated feature. It’s safe to say that Red Dead Redemption 2 has quite a large map. It is large in size and filled with so many beautiful locations and hidden secrets to explore. But no matter how beautiful a game gets, players are bound to get tired of exploring the large map on horseback sooner or later. That’s why RDR2 fast travel is so needed and appreciated by most players, as they can cover large distances in a minimal amount of time.

The only problem with this Red Dead Redemption 2 fast travel feature is that it isn’t the most conveniently accessible feature that you’ll find in the game. The first thing that you need to know is that unlocking fast travel requires story progression. You can’t unlock it until the entire first chapter is completed. Even after the first chapter is done, you have to get upgrades for your lodgings in camp before you can unlock the feature. Once this is done, you’ll be able to use the fast travel RDR2 offers when you want, but only if you’re already near your tent at camp.

That’s highly inconvenient, which is why there’s others mean of using RDR2 fast travel as well. These other means are none other than the stagecoaches that you’ll find in all the major towns and cities across the Red Dead Redemption 2 map. Stagecoaches allow you to travel from one location to pretty much any other, as long as you’ve already been to the location which you want to visit. It requires money to use these stagecoaches, and the price mainly depends on the distance of your travels. Still, it’s always a small price to pay to get from one point to another in a very short amount of time.
